Each year, the Trust Fund provides most of the funding for our agency’s emergency shelter and transitional program, and substantial funding for the Labre Center. In addition, the Trust Fund supports at least 18 other homeless service agencies in the City.
We don’t know what impact a cut in the Trust Fund budget would have on those programs, but we know it won't be an increase in housing or services.
Below are the dates and times of public forums on the City Budget being held in March by Lewis Reed, President of the Board of Aldermen. If you are a City resident, please attend one or more of these meetings and speak up for those who are homeless in St. Louis. Also, please contact your alderman and let them know the importance of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund to the people we serve, and to the health and stability of the City.
